HAVE UNWANTED SAPLINGS IN YOUR GARDEN?

In answer to those questions over 60 saplings were donated for our inaugural Valentine’s Day 'Give and Get' tree event - with many finding new homes across West Northamptonshire.

DONATIONS WELCOME - VALENTINE’S DAY 2027
Take good care of any young tree that’s taken root in the wrong place in your garden. Either now this winter or next, using a long spade carefully dig round any unwanted sapling. Lift as much of its roots as possible. Pot it, label it with its variety, and set it aside. Keep it watered and it will be ready for next year’s Valentine’s Day Give and Get event.

Looking to fill a hole in a hedge, plant a feature tree or simply want to increase the variety of habitats in your garden. The Woodland Trust have packs for sale including this mix of trees to help restore existing woodland and regenerate the countryside.
