London is about to trial an electric bus that looks like a tram, has a claimed range of over 200 miles and batteries that can be topped up in ten minutes at bus stands fitted with overhead charging points.
The ieTram1 is manufactured at a purpose-built plant in Basque Country, northern Spain, by Irizar, the 135 year old bus maker.
A video of the factory2 looks too good to be true, like it’s been computer generated. But a quick trip to Spain with Google Street View confirms it’s not imaginary.

If only West Northamptonshire had such future-relevant businesses.
