Growing CA-WN

Growing CA-WN

It’s time to take practical climate action.

A new year welcomes us to a world driven at the highest levels by greed and self-interest.

As a matter of self-defence it’s time to act collectively in our own interests.

The many groups across the county working on the preservation of our natural environment and the creation of truly sustainable communities are coming together for the Northamptonshire Festival of Nature in September.

Under the aegis of the Northamptonshire Natural History Society, CA-WN is working:
• with all who share a concern for  improving the quality of the air we breathe and the water we drink;
• with partnerships actively securing our food supplies; and
• with everyone interested in ensuring that we can all afford to keep our homes warm in winter and cool in summer

Pulling this together is a huge undertaking yet easily achievable by pooling our resources.

At our 15 January monthly online meeting we will discuss and agree how best to pool our resources – with actions to be followed up at our quarterly gathering in Northampton Museum on Saturday 24 January.
