Climate Drama: 21 November

BIOSPHERE is a drama exploring the current storm of the climate crisis, capitalism, and technology.
Inspired by the true story of experimental living trapped within an enclosed biome intended to provide the essentials for human life, this is a new play about our relationship to nature, technology and the planet we call home.
Presented as part of the Royal & Derngate's Genfest 2025, a week-long festival celebrating artist development and new work, the performance will be followed by a conversation with the playwright, Northampton native Olivia Foan, and the drama's climate science consultant, Dr Colleen Golja, Postdoctoral Fellow at Imperial College London.
At Harvard Dr Golja focussed on Solar Radiation Management, the manmade interference with Earth’s atmosphere with the objective of lowering climate risks associated with increasing atmospheric green house gas concentrations. Her postdoctoral research focused on understanding the impact of stratospheric heating on surface climate and at Imperial Olivia is advancing her climate knowledge and how to more effectively predict the impacts of climate change.
The venue has a limited seating capacity so be quick if you wish to be part of this interesting and potentially informative evening. It starts at 7.00pm on Friday 21 November. Booking and further details are here.
