Following the great success of our previous Carbon Literacy training courses, we're looking forward to offering the next 4-week course starting in early June. After completing the equivalent of one day's worth of training and committing to carbon-reducing actions, you will be deemed Carbon Literate and possess a certificate to prove it.

Carbon Literacy is defined as:

‘An awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.’

The training will help you to better understand how climate change will affect us in different ways, how you can reduce your personal footprint, and will give you the confidence to talk about it. Talking about climate change is one of the most impactful things you can do when it comes to tackling it!

This course, accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project1, will be held online on four consecutive Tuesday evenings, 7.00-9.00pm, starting 3rd June 2025.

Who are the Course Leaders?

Our course is run by Clare Slater and Alexina Cassidy, members of the CA-WN Steering Committee. Both have experience running Carbon Literacy Courses over the last year and Alexina is an approved Carbon Literacy Project Facilitator. For more info, please see here

We are providing the training on a not-for-profit basis, so the cost will be £10 per person, which is passed straight through to the Carbon Literacy Trust to pay for your certificate.
