Community film screenings and discussions

The People’s Emergency Briefing film features footage from last November’s National Emergency Briefing which brought together leading UK experts in climate science, food security, health, economics, national security and nature.

The film presents a clear, measured overview of how the climate and nature crisis is affecting everyday life in Britain - and what the evidence says about risks and responses. 

The purpose of the film is to support informed democratic discussion and ensure Parliament and the public share a common understanding of the scale and urgency of the challenge. Thousands of screenings have already taken place across the UK, with many more scheduled. CA-WN arranged screenings in Towcester, Brackley, Northampton and Daventry during June and July. Local groups, supported by CA-WN, are hosting more this autumn. Crucially each screening is followed by a discussion among attendees - we found the discussions at the West Northamptonshire screenings lively and interesting, with many attendees sharing local issues and concerns as well as making plans for what to do next.

These are all free events - please go along and take your friends. It's important to register in advance as venues have limited space and some are close to selling out. Booking links are also on the What's On Page.
